Engagement Orchestrator

An AI that actually gets to talk to your customers.

Building an AI that can hold a conversation is the easy part. Getting it onto a real phone line — with consent checked, capacity handled, a person ready to catch what it can't, and a bill at the end — is the platform. We built the platform.

Conversations by Untapped AI Your numbers, your carriers POPIA from the first screen Our cloud, or your own servers

AI at the centre

The AI is not a feature bolted on the side. It is what runs the conversation.

It answers the call, holds the conversation, does the work it is allowed to do, and decides for itself when a person is needed. Everything else on this page exists to make that safe to do at scale.

It answers the phone

The AI gets its own leg on the real call, bridged by SIP — not a bot on a web page. It speaks to the caller on the line they dialled.

And the messages

The same AI, the same session, on WhatsApp, SMS, email, Messenger, Instagram and web chat. One conversation per customer, whatever they used to start it.

It only knows what it may

A context policy decides which customer fields reach the AI on a given campaign. Nothing outside that policy is ever sent, and what was sent is on the record.

Powered by Untapped AI

The conversations are run by Untapped AI. The platform gives it the real phone line, the customer context it may use, and people to hand over to — within the rules you set.

The part everyone gets wrong

When the AI hands over, nobody redials and nobody starts again.

The hand-over is where most AI deployments fall apart: the customer is dropped into a queue and asked everything a second time. Here it is one call, all the way through.

STEP 1

The AI asks for a person

Because the customer asked, or because what they want is outside what the AI may agree to.

escalation reason kept

STEP 2

The work is routed

Into a queue by skill, priority and channel licence — with a service-level clock already running.

skills · priority · SLA

STEP 3

An agent accepts

Their device rings, a whisper tone plays to them alone, and the brief is already on their screen.

whisper · brief

STEP 4

The customer is bridged

Onto the same call they were already on. The AI leg is released. The customer hears a person, not a new dial tone.

no redial

STEP 5

Wrap-up is half done

The AI's summary and suggested disposition are filled in; the agent corrects rather than composes.

summary · disposition

To someone outside

Warm transfer to a number that isn't on the platform

A broker, a branch, a specialist on their mobile. They are rung while the customer waits on the line, hear a spoken brief of who is calling and why, and press 1 to take the call. No answer, or a different key, and the customer goes to the queue. Inbound or outbound, the same way.

Guard rails

The AI can choose where the call goes, only from what you allowed

An AI that transfers by itself can name a queue, a particular agent or an outside number. You decide which queues, whether it may pick an agent, and which numbers or prefixes it may use. Anything else is refused and logged, and the call takes its usual route. An AI never dials a number nobody listed.

When the AI can't

An AI you can point at real customers is one that fails safely.

Nothing here assumes the AI is up, in capacity, or right. Every one of those has a defined answer, so a bad afternoon for the AI is not a bad afternoon for your customers.

AI unavailable
The circuit opens

After repeated failures the platform stops trying and sends the work to people instead of stacking up retries.

AI at capacity
Capacity is checked first

The dialler paces against AI capacity and agent capacity together, so it never creates a call nothing can answer.

Nobody free
A stated policy

The no-agent rule is yours to set: hold, voicemail, callback or a graceful goodbye — not an accident.

Afterwards
All of it is on the record

Every AI session, event, transcript and hand-over is traceable end to end, and audited.

Everything else

And then a complete contact centre, because the AI needs one.

Not modules bought separately and bolted together. One data model, one set of permissions, one bill — built as a single platform.

  • Carriers and SIP trunks you choose, with priority routing and automatic failover
  • Browser softphone over WebRTC — no handset, no desktop install

  • Warm transfer outside to a number or SIP address: rung, briefed, press 1
  • Call flows and an IVR designer you edit yourself
  • Recording to object storage, with transcripts
  • Voicemail and after-hours treatment
  • Caller ID selection and rotation, plus a number inventory
  • PCI pause and DTMF masking while card details are spoken
  • Opening hours, holidays and inbound schedules

Campaigns and dialling

  • Eight dialling modes: manual, preview, timed preview, progressive, power, predictive, AI-first and fully agentless AI
  • Inbound answered by the AI or by a person, per queue and per number
  • Dual-capacity pacing against AI and agents at once
  • Amazon Connect agents: our dialler runs the campaign, your Connect agents take the calls
  • Campaign editor with versions and approval
  • Audiences built from your own customer data
  • Lead import from files and lead sources, with de-duplication
  • Lead lists and lead management end to end
  • Retry rules and attempt limits per outcome

  • Callbacks, scheduled by the customer or the agent

Messaging

  • WhatsApp through Meta's Cloud API, connected directly
  • WhatsApp templates written, previewed as a real message and sent to Meta for approval
  • SMS through SMS Portal or Clickatell
  • Email from your own mailboxes, as many as you need, each with its own signature, images included
  • Payment links by SMS or WhatsApp: PayFast, Peach Payments or Ozow, marked paid when the gateway confirms
  • Post-call surveys by SMS, rated 1 to 5 and tied to the call and agent
  • Messenger and Instagram, also straight from Meta
  • Web chat widget for your own site
  • Delivery and read receipts, with retries and a fallback channel
  • Per-agent channel licences

Journeys and routing

  • Multi-step journeys: send, wait, branch, queue, stop
  • AI steps inside a journey — an AI call or an AI conversation
  • Branching on what actually happened, not on a guess
  • Quiet hours and frequency caps enforced by the platform
  • Queues and skills, with priorities
  • Service-level clocks and SLA policies per queue
  • Work items and assignments across every channel

The agent's day

  • One desk for calls, chats, tickets and callbacks
  • The hand-over brief: transcript, summary, intent, what was captured
  • Customer panel and scripts beside the conversation
  • Wrap-up forms and your own disposition catalogue
  • CRM screen pop and activity logging
  • Take a payment on the call with a secure link: no card numbers said aloud or recorded
  • Their own schedule, quality scores and coaching

Live and supervision

  • Live agents and queues, updating in real time
  • Wallboards for the floor, where a breach turns the widget amber then red
  • Supervisor panels with state overrides

  • Notifications and digests by email
  • Platform monitoring and media-node health

Quality and workforce

  • Evaluation forms, versioned, scored to your own weights

  • Disputes an agent can raise, and coaching that follows
  • Forecasting with weighted history and WAPE accuracy
  • Erlang C staffing, shrinkage and service-level targets
  • Shifts and schedules, published to agents

Tickets

  • Tickets with numbers, owners and due dates
  • Categories and subcategories, each with its own service level
  • Priorities that set the clock
  • Tasks inside a ticket, with their own owners

  • Every call in your own warehouse: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Databricks
  • Your own dashboards: Grafana, Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio
  • Recordings and transcripts, searchable
  • Every report on screen, as a chart or as a table, before anyone downloads anything

  • Licence peaks counted properly, not guessed at month end
  • Statements on screen, as CSV and as PDF
  • An append-only ledger nothing can quietly rewrite
  • Plans and entitlements per tenant, with limits and warnings
  • Rates per metric, per plan

Platform and administration

  • Multi-tenant, with row-level security enforced by the database itself
  • Single sign-on over OIDC, and SCIM provisioning

  • A developer portal, API keys and sandbox tenants
  • The full API reference, live, one click from either console
  • Webhooks and integration clients, with signed payloads
  • Secret rotation, and secrets sealed at rest
  • Tenant lifecycle: create, suspend, export, close
  • White-label: your own name, logo, colours and legal links, on every screen and email

  • A marketplace of connections, each with a guide for the other side
  • Support access, time-boxed and audited
  • In-app help on every screen
  • High availability: paired SIP edges and media nodes, replicated API and workers

Built here, for here

South African by design, not by translation.

Local numbering, local carriers, local messaging, and a privacy posture that starts from POPIA rather than retro-fitting it.

Numbers and carriers
Your own SIP trunks

E.164 throughout, routing between the carriers you chose, and failover when one stops answering.

Local providers
SMS, WhatsApp & payments

SMS through SMS Portal or Clickatell; WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram straight from Meta; payments through PayFast, Peach Payments or Ozow.

Consent
Checked before the dial

Suppression, registries and quiet hours are enforced by the platform, not by a habit.

Isolation
Row-level security

One tenant cannot read another's rows even if the application asks. Enforced by the database.

See the AI take a real call on your own number.

We will walk through a live call, the hand-over to a person, a payment taken on the call, a WhatsApp conversation and the bill that comes out the other end — using your queues, your carriers and your script.
